LINDSAY, David. /A VOYAGE TO ARCTURUS/. Bound in original red cloth,
ruled and lettered in black. Methuen & Co., London. 1920. 1st edition,
small 8vo. Bound-in at the end of the book is an eight page Methuen
catalogue. No dust jacket. Pagination: [8], 1-303, [1], ads (8).

Lindsay (1878-1945) was a British metaphysical novelist, and a writer of
great imagination and originality. His "A Voyage to Arcturus" is
generally conceded to be one of the masterpieces of modern fantastic
literature. (cf. Bleiler). This copy shows very light soiling to the
boards, with the lower front tip being slightly rounded. The endpapers
are exceptionally clean and bright, with no former owner's markings. The
text block is similarly clean, although the binding is a trifle sprung.
In all, this is an exceptionally good copy of one of the scarcest books
in the genre.
