ANTI-SLAVERY SONGS: A SELECTION FROM THE BEST ANTI-SLAVERY 
AUTHORS.   Salem, Ohio:  I. Trescott & Co., 1853.  Octavo, sewn, 76, [2]
pages.  Moderate water stain on a number of pages including the 
title, but perfectly readable throughout.   (Includes a number of 
poems by Whittier, several by Pierpont and Elizabeth Chandler, 
one  by L.M.C. [presumably Lydia Maria Child], one by Garrison, &c, 
&c.  This 2nd [and apparently enlarged] edition is not in RLG; OCLC 
locates only 3 copies [Johns Hopkins, Duke & Ohio U.]  Trescott's 
1849 edition had only 62 pages. Searching the AAS & LC
Catalogs does not bring up this title; in the case of the LC, perhaps 
because the work has no copyright.  Neither edition is listed in 
"Afro-Americana." For many of the poems a popular melody is suggested 
to which it might be sung.)
