For your consideration:

Kaye-Smith, Sheila. Autograph letters. Two A.L.S. to Mr. Cazenove,
evidently her literary agent:.3 pp, 9, Dane Road, St. Leonard on Sea, Mar.
22, 1909. "I am very sorry to trouble you again about my MS. but I have
just received a prospectus & a letter from Fisher Unwin .... No doubt this
letter has been sent to hundreds of other people, but I see from the
prospectus, & have heard before this, that the firm makes a specialite of
first novels...". and asks if he "...would think it expedient to submit
them my book for their "First Novel Library..."'. 4 pp, 9 Dane Road, St.
Leonard on Sea, Mar 3 1909. Discussing the placement of her book "Chain
Verse", arrangements for an American edition of "The Tramping Methodist".
and suggesting offering "Starbrace" once it is published by Bell.
Interesting early letters from an anxious young author. $250.00
