STEVENSON,  Robert Louis. A CHILD'S GARDEN OF VERSES. [New  York]:
Limited  Editions Club 1944. Quarto (8" x 10-1/2") bound in half  blue
leather  and batik paper sides with decorations by Roger Duvoisin  who
has  also  illustrated  the  book with  water-colors  hand-colored  by
Charlize  Brakeley.  Introduction by William Rose Benet. Copy #243  of
1100  SIGNED  by the artist on the colophon. One of the more  charming
books  of  the press. Mild and typical rubbing to the spine tips  with
slight  loss  of leather. Small university bookplate on the  verso  of
the  front  free endpaper. The original glassine is still present  but
torn.  Slipcase  with soiling and rubbing to the spine. Near  Fine  in
torn glassine and Very Good clamshell case.                    $250.00
