Pike, Zebulon Montgomery. EXPLORATORY TRAVELS THROUGH THE WESTERN
TERRITORIES OF NORTH AMERICA: comprising a Voyage from St. Louis, on the
Mississippi, to the source of that river, and a Journey through the
Interior of Louisiana and the North-Eastern Provinces of New Spain.
Denver; W.H. Lawrence & Co.: 1889. A facsimile of the 1811 edition,
recounting a journey made in the years 1805-1807.
Hardcover. 9"x11", 394 pages, portrait frontispiece and several maps;
presentation inscription from the publisher. A nice, bright copy, with just
some wear at the tips and rubbing along the extremities; there are some
pencil notes and underlining that could be erased, but we have not touched
it. $175 net.
