wrote 45 books, including his sporting titles, was Poet Laureate of South
Carolina and was awarded the John Burroughs Medal for nature writing. This
selection of hunting stories includes material that first appeared in Field
and Stream, Outdoor Life, Harper's Magazine and Sports
Afield. Hardcover. 6"x9", x + 461 pages, b/w frontispiece and line
illustrations by Lynn Bogue Hunt. Publisher's dark blue cloth with paper
spine and cover labels. Covers with light wear, a few rubbed areas,
