Aleister Crowley.

777 Vel Prolegomena Symbolica Ad Systemam Sceptio-Mysticae Viae
Explicandae, Fundamentum Hieroglyphicum Sanctissimorum Scientiae Summae.

London and Felling-On-Tyne. The Walter Scott Publishing Co. Ltd. 1909.

First edition. 500 copies printed. Octavo, original red buckram titled in
gilt on front panel. Pagination: x, errata sheet tipped in, 54 pp, (2 pp,
1st leaf a note from "The Editors", on verso is an ad for THE EQUINOX,
Subscription form for THE EQUINOX (on perforated sheet, intact).

One of the Master Therion's most important works. The first edition is
decidedly uncommon. This copy is in excellent condition. There is some mild
internal foxing, light fading to the spine panel and a few small marks to
the cloth, but the cloth is unworn and the interior hinges are tight. No
missing pages, no ink names or bookplates. It previously belonged to Dr.
Charles Muses, author of esoteric and occult books, and there are a few
notes *in pencil* on a rear blank and in a few spots within the text. These
are not disfiguring and could be erased with no trouble or loss, if one so
desired.

Overall, a nice copy of an important and major item.

For sale, $1500 USD (or make offer)
