We are offering an interesting group of book by and about naturalists:

An American Year:  Country Life and Landscapes Through the Seasons by Hal
Borland with illustrations by distinguished contemporary artists.  Simon &
Schuster, 1946, later printing.  Minor corner bump lower front.  Text
lightly toned.  Jacket with minor loss of material at tips and some chipping
at spine ends, the head of spine missing perhaps a quarter square inch.  

Thinking Like a Mountain:  Aldo Leopold and the Evolution of an Ecological
Attitude Toward Deer. Wolves, and Forests by Susan :L. Elader.  University
of Missouri Press, 1974, 1st edition. Previous owner name on front endpaper.


Cache Lake Country:  Life in the North Woods by John J. Rowlands,
illustrated by Henry B. Kane.  W.W. Norton & Co., 1947, 1st edition.  Light
edge wear and minor toning to the endpapers.  Jacket has minor edge wear
with minimal loss of material at head of spine and the upper front tip.
Original price is clipped but another price stamped on front flap.

Goodbye West Country by Henry Williamson.  Little Brown, 1938, 1st U.S.
edition. Light wear to edges and a minor corner bump.  Jacket has minor loss
of material to the tips and very small chips at either side of the head of
spine. 

Sigurd Olson's Wilderness Days by Sigurd Olson.  Knopf, 1972, 1st edition
(but reprinting some material previously published in periodicals.  Edge
wear and short tears to the jacket.  Fading to the edges of the brown cloth
cover and the green endpapers.  

All very good/very good with flaws noted.  Bindings sound and text unmarked.


The lot $85 including media mail.  International shipping at cost minus $7.
