Robertson, W. Graham. A Masque of May Morning. With twelve designs in colour
by the author. London & New York: John Lane the Bodley Head, 1904. First
Edition. Quarto. 62pp, [ii] ads. Original green cloth, upper cover stamped
with a design from the author. Covers show soiling and rubbing, spine rubbed
through at one small spot. All edges untrimmed. Previous owner's
contemporary pencil inscription on the flyleaf, and a neat bookplate on the
front pastedown. Additionally, front pastedown stamped "Review Copy". A Good
copy of a rather uncommon book. // The twelve illustrations appear to be
produced by a combination of woodblock and pochoir, skillfully done.
Robertson wrote and illustrated a number of books, and he is particularly
known for his fine collection of works by William Blake. (40982)
