DELLI CINQUE ORDINI D’ARCHITETTURA. Sienna: Pietro Marchetti. N.d. (circa 1650). 
Folio (16-1/8” tall). 2 parts in 1. Complete with 45 engraved architectural 
plates with engraved text. 18th c. vellum over marbled boards. Some old soiling 
and faded water stains, a few small marginal tears (repaired), some light 
chipping to blank margin of the fore-edge. A worn but perfectly serviceable copy.

This is a reprint of the 1635 Siennese edition published by Bernardino Oppi. 
The second section (title leaf plus the final 7 plates) is Michelangelo 
Buonaroti’s text on ornate doorways, “Nuova et Ultima Aggiunta delle Porte d’
Architettura.” Fowler Architectural Collection #360.
