Originally published between 1st January 1831-1st 
December 1831, bound with new lithographed full 
color title page 1832. All plates hand colored as 
issued. The caricatures attributed to William 
Heath. There was a volume I. published in 1830. 
This contains the subsequent volume, as 
published. Each monthly sheet consists of 8 folio 
hand colored caricatures in a style influenced by 
some continental practitioners like Grandville 
and Travies. There are 48 in the album, plus the 
tinted plate. They are all wonderful and 
imaginatively drawn, but in the hand colored 
version, only on one side of each sheet. The 
gutta percha, perfect binding is perishing, so 
some of the plates are loose. All are supplied 
with a protective tissue. Original green ¼ calf, 
green cloth boards. The spine has been repaired at both ends, OW VG. $1950.00
