FAITH OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN.
Topeka: Service Print Shop, (1943). First printing, Full cloth, Octavo, x, 
9-411 pages, black and white illustrations. Very Good, No dust jacket.
      An examination of Lincoln's life and the impressions he left on others 
in an attempt to understand the religious principles, if any, which guided 
his thoughts and actions. Uncommon book which grew out of a series of 
articles by Taggart published under the caption "Was Abraham Lincoln a 
Christian?" Bound in dark green cloth over boards with spine and upper board 
stamped in gilt. Binding shows rubs and shallow bumps at extremities, head 
of spine has a horizontal crease to the cloth which is slightly rubbed. 
Contemporary prior owner name (E. D. Lewthwaite) penned at top fore corner 
of front free endpaper. Gilt on binding is dulled, edges of textblock mildly 
browned. Hinges remain sound.
