"CERAMICS OF THE WESTON PRIORY" Springfield; George Walter Vincent Smith
Art Museum: 1972. The catalog to the very first exhibition of the pottery
of Brother Thomas Bezanson of the Weston Priory. His work is shown along
with that of his fellow potter there, Brother Augustine. The catalog
begins with a short introductory note by Brother Thomas, and then lists
174 pieces of pottery, all lent from private collections. The text also
includes a short note by the Director of the Museum, and detailed notes on
the Sang de boeuf, rouge flambé, temmoku, celadon, and clare de lune
glazes. It seems likely that these notes, though uncredited, were written
by Brother Thomas. A very scarce catalog. Softcover. 7.5”x10.5”, 18 pages,
1 color and 1 monochrome illustration; light soil, small stain on lower
portion of the front cover. [30216] $200.00
