1)              prospectus for ROAN STALLION, 
TAMAR and Other poems.  NY: Boni & Liveright 
[1925].  Printed tan wrappers, 12pp.  Blurbs etc. 
The last page is original text by Jeffers. Very 
fine. Known in two issues, with only Boni & 
Liveright" on p. 12, as here); and with 
bookstores listed on page 12.  Inscribed to his 
erstwhile bibliographer, "
for Sydney S. Alberts 
by Robinson Jeffers" on the front cover.
This pamphlet is rare, uninscribed.  We know of 
one other copy, same issue (uninscribed).  .    3500.00




2)              ROAN STALLION / TAMAR and Other 
Poems.  NY: Boni & Liveright, 1925 [i.e. 
1926].  Original boards, black cloth spine.  On 
verso of t-p: "Second printing, January, 
1926".    Original binding, WORN, especially the 
spine, corners worn.  Newsphoto clipping of 
slit-eyed Jeffers tipped to h-t.  Blind-stamp 
book plate in h-t of Harrie Gerniman Teaboldt. 
Clipping of Jeffers from painting of him by Ira 
Remsen, Jeffers as the "California pet" laid in 
at pp. 18-10 - resulting in bad offset  Clipping 
of "Hurt Hawk" by Jeffers  loose between pp. 
90-81.  Offstet from old  clipping not present on 
pp. 96-7.  Bad offset from another missing 
clipping on pp. 104-5.  Clipping at pp. 108-0 
with bad offset (review of DEAR  JUDAS).  Offset 
Lighter) at pp. 120-121 (no clipping 
present).  Clippings laid inside rear cover 
(doubtless the offending ones from the interior; clipping pasted onto rear e-p.

             This copy is inscribed by Jeffers on 
the front free e-p: "Illustrated for Harrie 
Teaboldt, the man who furnished the biggest stone 
in the Hawk's Tower, by his friend, Robinson 
Jeffers.  Tor House, Carmel, California / August, 
1926." Above the inscription which is in ink, 
Jeffers has drawn Tor House, in pencil.   4000.00
