Bernet: November 25th & December 16th, 1980 & May 19th, 1981. The auction
of Edward Chow's collection, in three blockbuster sales, was more than
simply the dispersal of some antique pottery. Chow was among the foremost
connoisseurs of antique Chinese ceramics of his day, and was a compatriot
of such renowned collectors as Percival David, and King Gustav Adolf of
Sweden. His deep knowledge and impeccably high standards are seen in the
parade of rare and wonderful ceramics and other objects showcased in these
three elegant catalogs. The first volume includes an introduction by

Greenfield"  New York; Sotheby's: March 25, 1998. The elegant, beautifully
illustrated auction catalog for this superlative collection. The
collection was especially deep in rare 16th and 17th century examples.

[Kaynes-Klitz Collection] "Important Chinese Snuff Bottles from the
Kaynes-Klitz Collection, Part One" [and] "Part Two"  Hong Kong; Sotheby's:
November 16, 1989 [&] October 30, 1990. The auction catalogs to the sales
of this superb collection of snuff bottles, assembled in Hong Kong in the
1960s. Michael Kaynes-Klitz founded a snuff bottle collector's society in
Hong Kong which eventually became the international Snuff Bottle Society;
he also edited the international society's journal. Softcover. 2 vols.

ojime, kogo and boxes, presented in an elegant set of catalogs with large,

did something useful, buying and restoring an 1860 house in Savannah, and
filling it with antiques. John Ayres wrote a Preface to this auction

collection, begun in the last decades of the 19th century, and cataloged
here by Frederick W. Gookin. Card covers. 7"x9.75", 220 pages, 692 lots;
b/w illustrations; paper-covered pictorial card covers; covers very worn,
spine perished and front cover detached; paper covering chipped and torn;
contents with some pencil notes; several pages with some adhesion

during visits to Japan starting in 1908. An unusually well illustrated

U.S. will be billed at cost. We accept returns if we are notified within
