years"

The very popular memoirs of an Hawaiian orphan who was brought to
Connecticut and attended Yale. While translating the Bible into Hawaiian
and preparing for a life of missionary work, he died of typhus. Published
with Lyman Beecher's "A Sermon Delivered at the Funeral of Henry
Obookiah...", "The Banner of Christ Set Up, A Sermon delivered at the
inauguration of the Rev. Hermon Daggett, as principal of the Foreign
Mission School in Cornwall, Connecticut", "An Inauguration Address
delivered at the opening of the Foreign Mission School" by Rev. Harmon
Daggett, and "The Inaugural Address, by the Hon. John Treadwell, Esq.".

Hardcover. 3.5"x5.5", 104, 32, 33, 10, 10 pages. Portrait frontispiece
detached, trimmed, and remounted with a pin on the endpaper; original
spotted calf; worn and dinged, contents browned, foxed, and stained. Not
