Book One:

Cleaveland, Agnes Morley. NO LIFE FOR A LADY. Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1941. 356 pp. Gray cloth hardcover boards with lettering to front and spine. Map endpapers and pastedowns. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR ON THE HALF-TITLE PAGE. Illustrated by Edward Borein. A photograph of the author has been taped to the front flap.

First Edition. Same date (1941) on Title Page and Copyright Page.

Condition: Good+/Good+
 
Book - No writing, marking, creases or tears, except for previous bookseller's pencil marking on front endpaper; along with Author's Signature and Inscription to Half-Title. Pages are clean with old dampstain to bottom margin in last half of the book. Dust Jacket - Price clipped with author's photograph attached to front flap. Light rubbing and chipping to corners and head/tail of spine.

Book Two:

Santee, Ross. APACHE LAND. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1947. 216 pp. Tan cloth hardcover boards with lettering to front and spine and illustration to front. Illustrated by the author with more than 100 drawings.

First Edition. 1947 on Title Page with "A" and Colophon on Copyright Page.

Book - No writing, marking, creases or tears, except for previous bookseller's pencil marking on front endpaper; along with bookplate of "Winifred T. Griffith" to front pastedown. Pages are clean with a hint of age-toning at margins. Dust Jacket - Price clipped. Light rubbing and chipping to corners and head/tail of spine, along with light age-toning at edges.

Book Three:

Paden, Irene D. THE WAKE OF THE PRAIRIE SCHOONER. New York: The MacMillan Company, 1943. 5-3/4" x 8-1/2". 514 pp., including extensive Bibliography and Index at rear. Red cloth hardcover with tan lettering to spine. Illustrated throughout with 30 pen-and-ink drawings by the author. 
"FIRST PRINTING" stated on Copyright Page. 

Condition: Very Good/Good+ 

Book - No writing, markings, creases or tears, except for previous bookseller's pencil marks to front endpaper, along with author's inscription. Pages are clean and bright. Dust Jacket is price clipped at top and bottom of front flap. Lightly soiled with rubbing and small chips to corners and head/tail of spine. A 2" vertical tear to DJ at lower front at joint with 2 smaller horizontal tears eminating from vertical.
