The Lucky Seventh by Ralph Henry Barbour. Illustrated by Norman P. Rockwell. Published by B. Appleton and Co., New York and London. 1915 (1915). Rockwell illustrated the frontispiece and three other plates in color. There is an paste-down illustration on the cover that duplicates the illustration on page 298. A very bright copy, very tight binding, bright gilt stamping on the cover and spine.
 
This copy is INSCRIBED by Barbour on the free-front endpaper. “To ‘Squire’ Willmondton (?) / with the author’s best wishes / Ralph Henry Barbour / 1915”
 
There is no other writing in the book, no tears or marks, no cracks in the endpapers or looseness in the hinges. Lower front corner slightly bumped.
 
This is a hard-to-find title by Barbour in excellent condition, inscribed by Barbour, and an early work by Norman Rockwell.
