Creer was the editor of ‘The Hairdressers’ Chronicle’, author of several
books on hair, and owner of an impressive shop in London which is pictured
in an advertisement at the end of the book. There are many illustrations
of wigs in the text, and a mounted photographic portrait as the
frontispiece. Scarce- OCLC only locates 3 copies.

Hardcover. 4.5”x7”, viii + 234 pages, with many line illustrations in the
text, plus 4 lithographed plates with tissue guards, and a photographic
portrait frontispiece; plus 6 pages of advertisements for Creer’s shop and
other hair products, with several illustrations. Publisher’s brown cloth
with gilt titles; covers a little scuffed, contents with minor scattered
soil and several minor marginal stains, else a very nice, tight, bright
