1st edition. Three volumes in Two. Octavo, bound in half brown 
morocco over brown cloth boards, the spine with raised bands titled 
and ruled in gilt within compartments, marbled endpapers, top edges 
gilt. Unsigned, but likely a Riviere binding. Volume 1 and 2 - the 
text volumes are bound together, Volume 3 is separate and comprises 
408 plates lithographed in red. Some mild scuffing and minor 
dust-soiling to binding, but a clean and unworn copy. From the 
library of mystical philosopher Charles Muses, with some neat notes 
in his hand to the margins of some of the plates. A major work, 
recently reprinted. Rare in the first edition.
