mottled boards, spine and edges rubbed, top edges of some leaves 
trimmed into the headings, [2], 16, 144 [i.e., 134], [2] pages, as 
noted by OCLC.  5 pages mispaginated, but complete.  3 parts in one, 
with separate title pages, the added titles being "The Image of the 
Beast" & "A Narrative of the Sufferings of Thomas De Laune for 
Writing, Printing & Publishing . . . 'A Plea for the Non-Conformists' 
. . . Directed to Dr. Calamy . . ."  One of several editions printed 
the same year, this being the scarcer.  DEFOE'S PREFACE occupies 16 
pages.  Uncommon !
