BARONCELLI-JAVON,  Folco De.    LOU BIOU. LE TAUREAU.  [Paris]:  (Les
Editions  Vialetay)  [1963].  First Edition.  Folio (11"  x  15") with
original   decorative  wrappers  bound  in,   in  full  blue  calf  by
Jacqueline  Antona,  signed  and dated 1964,  with  irregularly-shaped
raised  onlays  of  leathers  and  papers  in  various  colours,  each
overlaid  with  coloured  glacine, blue-reversed calf  endpapers,  top
edge  gilt,  housed in a blue calf-edged chemise and  cloth  slipcase.
Illustrated  with 18 ORIGINAL COLOR LITHOGRAPHS by Sarthou,  including
12 double-page.  Copy #49 of a total of 176 copies, this one of 40  on
Rives  with an EXTRA SUITE OF PLATES, SIGNED by the artist and  editor
on  the  colophon  page.  Provenance:  Major J.  R.  Abbey,  with  his
bookplate  (Sotheby's, 2 June 1970, lot 2541: œ120 Philip  C.Duschnes)
and  with  the bookplate of Marie Louise and Samuel Robert  Rosenthal.
Contents  and  binding  Fine; chemises holding the book and  suite  of
plates  split  at  joints.  Fine in  chemises  &  slipcase.  Fantastic
lithographs and binding.                                      $1500.00
