A 13-page typewritten manuscript of John Steinbeck's "Saint Katy The Virgin”
on onionskin type paper, watermarked with an eagle, "Quality," and AGAWAM
BOND Made in USA. The paper is slightly toned, with a paperclip mark in the
top margin. It has been authenticated by an expert appraiser and by the
curator of a major Steinbeck collection. Corrections have been made by
erasure and overtyping. Page numbers are typed in the upper left corner. The
title appears centered above the story as SAINT KATY THE VIRGIN. (with the
period) and below it centered: John Steinbeck. (with the period.) The text
is close to the printed version. Provenance provided on serious inquiry.
