A COLLECTION OF 43 FOURTH OF JULY ORATIONS.

Mainly delivered in Boston (32), but includes other Massachusetts 
towns (7), NH (2), Philadelphia (1), RI (1). Five are signed or 
inscribed by the authors. Most are pre-Civil War: 1799 (1); 1800-1829 
(12); 1830-1859 (15); 1860-1879 (12); 1880-1891 (3). If it was 
topical, it was worked into these orations covering the War of 1812, 
slavery, nullification, disunion, reconstruction, peace, Mexico, 
Texas, immigration, China, the French Revolution, and more, mostly by 
leading figures of the day.

Libraries and Institutions can be billed. Trade allowance. Postage is 
$10.00 Priority Mail. For international orders, postage is calculated 
individually. All books may be returned in original condition for any 
reason within two weeks with prior notification.
