Washington; Reprinted from the 1940-41 Year Book of the American Society
of Bookplate Collectors and Designers: 1941. Limited to 100 numbered
copies.

A descriptive listing of fifty-five bookplates thought to be by Hurd, of
which 40 were signed. Hollis French was a noted antiquarian, member of the
Walpole Society, and author of the definitive biography of Nathaniel Hurd.

Softcover. 7.5”x10”, 46 pages, decorative initial letter and headpieces.
Original yellow covers with the blue decorative binding cord intact, as is
the original glassine over-cover, which is embossed with a
lizard-skin-pattern; book itself fine, glassine with a little edgewear.
Quite a lovely copy.  [30260]  $125.00

may be reserved pending payment; Institutions may be billed; Standard
courtesies to institutions and the trade; Postage charges are $5.00 for
the first book, and $2.00 for each additional book. Shipments outside the
U.S. will be billed at cost. We accept returns if we are notified within
ten days of your receipt of the books-please ask for full instructions and
terms. Massachusetts residents must add 5% state sales tax.
