O'FLAHERTY,  Liam. AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPT SIGNED  (AMS):  OFFERINGS.
Seven-page  Holograph  Manuscript  of his story  "Offerings"  on  four
sheets  of lined paper (6-1/4" x 8") SIGNED by the author at the  top.
O'Flaherty,  a  leading  20th century Irish novelist and  short  story
writer  and  a major figure in the Irish Renaissance, is perhaps  best
known  for  THE  INFORMER,  a  thriller  filmed  a  couple  of  times,
including  by  John Ford in 1935. Though a Communist  sympathizer  and
against  all organized religions, he spent several years of his  early
life  training  for the priesthood. This story about a  parish  priest
was  first  published in 1926 in the periodical OUTLOOK and  collected
in several volumes of O'Flaherty's stories. Near Fine         $2500.00
