ADVENTURES OF BARON MUNCHAUSEN.
New York: James Miller, 1867. Original cloth, Duodecimo, [ii], 251 pages, 
black and white engraved plates, cuts. Very Good.
      Raspe's classic, satirical tall tales of the travels of Baron 
Munchausen, originally written in the mid 18th century. This handsome little 
edition is illustrated with several plates and cuts by Alfred Crowquill 
(pseudonym of Alfred Henry Forrester). Bound in royal blue cloth over boards 
with spine decorated and lettered in gilt, both boards lettered and 
ornamented in blind. Tissue-guarded frontispiece engraving followed by an 
engraved title page, followed by a second, mostly typeset title page. Rubs 
and mild wear at extremities, a hint of browning to spine, some minor foxing 
inside.    $100.00
