FS - Review copy, T.S. Eliot, On Poetry and Poets

Eliot, T. S., On Poetry and Poets, Farrar, Straus, and Cudahy, 1957,
1st American Edition, 1st Printing, Hardcover, 8vo, 308 pp., NF/ VG

Review copy of the 1st American edition with the correct review slip
laid in. Slip states " Two clippings of your review will be greatly
appreciated." Penciled "Bob M" on the back of the slip. Series of
essays written 1926-1956. On poetry: The Social Function of Poetry,
The Music of Poetry, What Is Minor Poetry?, What Is a Classic?,
Poetry and Drama, and The Three Voices of Poetry. On Poets: Virgil
and the Christian World, Sir John Davies, Milton I, Milton II,
Johnson as Critic and Poet, Goethe as the Sage, Rudyard Kipling, and Yeats.

Tail of spine bumped. DJ has chip at spine tail, short split at lower
front corner, wear at spine head, tiny wrinkles at tail edge of back.

A nice copy that's about near fine in a presentable VG DJ now in
mylar. Uncommon, more so with jacket, especially so as a review copy.
