Richardson: 1892 & 1905. A key work on carriage building “comprising
numerous short practical articles upon carriage and wagon woodwork; plans
for factories; shop and bench tools; convenient appliances for repair
work; methods of working; peculiarities of bent timber; construction of
carriage parts; repairing wheels; forms of tenons and mortises; together
with a variety of useful hints and suggestions for woodworkers”. This
original edition is quite uncommon in the marketplace. Hardcover. 2 vols.
5.5”x7.5”, 222 pages with 228 b/w illustrations and 280 + vii pages with
283 illustrations. Publisher’s brick-red cloth with black lettering.
Volume 1 is a very nice, bright copy. Vol.2 is ex-institutional with
slightly faded and worn covers, spine number removed, pocket removed,
hinges cracked, bookplate, etc. [31206] $250.00
