very good copy.  Cloth/boards, typed label reading "Evans Library of 
Medical Classics, 1932."  Tipped in is a glowing appraisal of 
Evans'  library by Chas. Singer, who visited Berkeley in the early 
'30s: "Nearly every work of first class importance is represented in 
it."  (The library of a pioneer collector of medical rarities, the 
co-discoverer of Vitamins E & F, the isolation of important hormones, 
&c - see Garrison/Morton 1055, 1070-71, 1163, 1173.1, 1174, 
1175.1-2.  The collection was dispersed at auction in 1975, and some 
rarities are recorded as being sold later.  Only a small handful of 
libraries have this catalog.)  $350.00
