LE TREIZIÈME JUSQU'AU MILIEU DU DIXNEUVIÈME SIÈCLE. (Complete in three 
volumes).
Paris: Schemit, 1928. Folios, Original cloth-backed boards. Illustrated with 
393 photo-plates. One of a limited edition of 1,000 sets. Good to Very Good.
    Important, well illustrated study of personal objects of daily life from 
the 13th through the mid-19th centuries. Everything from jewelry to writing 
instruments to tableware to timepieces and much more. Volume III contains a 
bibliography. All volumes bound in original heavy paper folded over both 
boards with gilt embossed titles on upper boards. Spines are grey cloth 
overlaid with original paper labels the full length of the spines. Tattered 
remnants of glassine wrappers on all three volumes. Exteriors show mild 
stains, heads of two spines slightly pulled. Some mild dampstaining at heels 
of two volumes, front pastedown in volume II shows some minor splitting at 
top and bottom edges of board. Interiors remain clean and bright. Overall a 
clean and sound set of this valuable reference.
