Main title printed in red & black. Cont. tooled, paneled calf, nicely rebacked, 
red calf spine label. Signed by Edmond Hoyle   on the verso of the first 
section title, following his note “To the Reader.”     $850.00 (trade discount 
allowed)
The title-page of the section on Whist reads the Eighth Edition; on Quadrille 
it is the Second Edition; on Piquet, the Third Edition; and on Back-Gammon, 
the Third Edition. Despite the strange pagination it is nonetheless complete. 
There are only 2 “Hoyles” with this title of “The Accurate Gamester’s 
Companion,” 1748 and 1750.
