One of a number of superb Robert Frost items on our website. Later this
year we will be cataloguing another 25 or so exceptional Frost items
including a number of books with manuscript poems.

FROST, Robert. AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPT POEM FRAGMENT SIGNED. On a
5-1/4" x 8-1/2" piece of paper, apparently neatly excised from a book,
is a fair copy AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPT excerpt of eleven lines forming
the conclusion of the poem, "The Sound of the Trees" from MOUNTAIN
INTERVAL, completely in Frost's hand and SIGNED by him at the
conclusion with the postscript "For Stanley Kimmel." In full: My feet
tug at the floor And my head sways to the shoulder Sometimes when I
watch trees sway From the window or the door. I shall set forth for
somewhere, I shall make the reckless choice Some day when they are in
voice And tossing so as to scare The white clouds over them on. I
shall have less to say But I shall be gone. One word is changed from
the printed version along with two minor changes in punctuation. Fine
                                                               $4500.00
