1545. 8vo. 120pp. Woodcut device on title and another device on the verso of 
final leaf. Text illustrated with 113 woodcut emblems of various sizes, but 
mostly 2-1/2” x 2-1/2”. A beautiful clean copy in early limp vellum.

A very rare edition. The woodcuts are closely copied from Wechel’s Parisian 
editions of 1534 or 1535, but they are not the same. See Green, ALCIATI #26.
