Publishing (1934). Rendered into modern English by J. U. Nicolson and
illustrated with full-page tinted plates by Rockwell Kent.
Attractively bound by Charles E. Lauriat in 3/4 green morocco with
gilt rules, five raised bands, gilt spine lettering and decorations,
top edge gilt; xviii, 627 pages. Mild wear to corners. Near Fine

2. [DODGSON, C. L.] CARROLL, Lewis. ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND
bound with THROUGH THE LOOKING-GLASS. London: MacMillan and Co., Ltd.
1952. Reprint. Two volumes beautifully bound in full red polished
calf by Charles E. Lauriat with a large gilt rabbit on the front
cover and a gilt queen on the rear cover, dual gilt-ruled borders,
gilt dentelles, and a gilt-decorated spine with contrasting morocco
spine labels. Both volumes with the original illustrations by John
Tenniel. Very mild wear to the spine tip at the top with light
rubbing to the front spine edge which has a half-inch split at the
top. Still a bright, Near Fine example of a lovely binding. $750.00
3. MALORY, Thomas. LE MORTE DARTHUR THE HISTORY OF KING ARTHUR AND OF
HIS NOBLE KNIGHTS OF THE ROUNDTABLE. Boston/London: Hale,
Cushman/Jonathan Cape n.d [1920s]. The one-volume edition of this
attractively illustrated account of the legendary King Arthur with 24
color plates by W. Russell Flint and here nicely bound by Charles E.
Lauriat in 3/4 green morocco with gilt rules, five raised bands, gilt
spine lettering and decorations, top edge gilt; 432; 531 pages. Mild
wear to corners. Near Fine $200.00
4. WALTON, Izaak & COTTON, Charles. THE COMPLEAT ANGLER. London: John
Lane/The Bodley Head (1931). Reprint. Reprint of the 1897 edition
edited by Richard Le Gallienne with numerous illustrations by Edmund
H. New. Octavo (4-7/8" x 7-1/2") bound by Charles E. Lauriat in 3/4
brown morocco and marbled boards with gilt-ruled borders, and a
lovely gilt-lettered and decorated spine, top edge gilt. Very mild
wear to joints and corners. Near Fine in a handsome binding. $200.00
