Our new catalogue, which will be posted on our website later this month,
will feature 20th Century Literary First Editons, most signed, and will
include some private press books as well as author collections,
including but not limited to T. S. Stribling, A. E. Coppard, T. F.
Powys, Norman Douglas, and others.

Some of the Striblings are in dustwrappers and all are inscribed. Here
is one:

STRIBLING, T. S. RED SAND. New York: Harcourt Brace & Co. (1924).
First Edition. This copy INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the
front endpaper: "This book is one of the/results of a junket/to
Venezuela. Fombombo/is another and Strange/Moon, a third./TS
Stribling/Marranna Fla/Dec 17 1940." A sharp copy of this romantic
tale of Venezualan peon who rises to the highest circles through his
skill in bull-fighting. Stribling sold more books than any author
between the two world wars, and that includes Hemingway and Faulkner.
The attractive dustwrapper, with a red bull's head on a yellow and
white background and signed "W R," has a few short, closed edge tears
with no significant loss and a sunned spine, the red and blue
lettering still clear. Fine in striking, Very Good or better
price-clipped dustwrapper. $850.00
