FS: colecao reconcavo (Desinos de Caribe): set of ten issues 1-10, in a card
wrapper.

Paperbound and stapled, limited and each is numbered individually (numbers
are different in each issue). The wrapper has a distinctive graphic, titled
Museu de Arte Moderna de Sao Paulo, Programa das Atividades, 1953-1. This
issues are dated 1955. Laid into each is a small (single-fold) paper
catalog, “Edicoes da Livararia Progeresso Editora,” of other publications
and their prices.
The titles in this set are:
1. Pesca do Xareu
2. Pelourinho
3. Capoeira
4. Fiera de Agua de Meninos
5. Festo do Bomfim
6. Conceicao da Praia
7. Festa de Yemania
8. Rampa do Mercado
9. Temas de Candomble
10. Orixas
All are in very good condition, save that Vol. 1 has a crease and small chip
to the lower front corner, and there is some mild edge toning to a few
volumes. Individually these are listed c. $30 and up. This remarkable record
of mid-20th Century Caribbean artwork in ten volumes offered here for USD
$150, ppd. in USA (by arrangement elsewhere.)
