Four Months. Here Reprinted for the First Time Exactly as Published in 1858. 
With an Introduction by W. Kaye Lamb, Dominion Archivist. Vancouver: At the 
Private Press of Robert R. Reid. 1949. xviii,94,(6)pp. Illustrated with a 
frontispiece woodcut of the author and a facsimile of the original title page. Tipped 
in on a rear leaf is a half-tone photo of the hand press that printed this 
book. Title & text printed in red & black. Edition limited to 110 numbered copies. 
Hand bound by M. I. Sochasky in 1/2 black morocco, red calf spine label, over 
marbled boards. With the (12)pp. prospectus with printed wrappers, stabbed & 
tied at inner margin. Laid in is a receipt for this copy’s purchase signed by 
Robert R. Reid. Both items housed in publisher’s sewn gray felt slipcase. A 
superb copy.     $500.00 (trade discount allowed)
The first book of Reid’s private press. Waddington’s work deals with the 
Fraser River gold rush and it was the first book printed on Vancouver Island.
