COPPARD,  A.  E.  AUTOGRAPH   MANUSCRIPT  NOTEBOOK  SIGNED.  First
Edition.  A  132-page small (3" x 5") pocket notebook with  all  but a
handful  of pages containing Coppard's HANDWRITTEN NOTES in pencil  on
a  variety  of subjects, mostly concerning his stories. INSCRIBED  and
SIGNED  in ink near the front by Coppard: "This old note book  of/mine
is  for  my friend/Wilbur Macey Stone of/New York/A.E. Coppard/9  June
1931."  In  addition  to  comments  and notes  on  his  work,  Coppard
comments  on  Conrad,  Dickens,  O. Henry,  Chekhov,  Eric  Gill,  and
others.  Much  of interest. Housed in a clamshell "safe" box  made  to
resemble a book. Very Good                                    $1500.00
