JOANNIS KEPLERI, ADVERSUS DEMONSTRATIONEM SUAM ANALYTICAM, NUPERRIME
EDITAM.... With woodcut ornaments and initials, woodcut or engraved
illustrations, and a folding engraved plate loosely inserted.
Wellcome I 2328. Fludd, a Rosicrucian, was best known for his
research in occult philosophy and as the main supporter of fellow
Rosicrucian William Harvey's theory of the circulation of the blood.
Fludd also served as a lightning rod for attacks by Johannes Keppler
and other prominent scientists against his alchemical theories. It is
said that when Fludd died in 1637, alchemy died with him. Rather even
light browning to the text. Very Good in Fine binding. $7500.00
