Oberer 1790 - 1800. First Edition. A 43-volume set in small octavo (4-
1/2"  x  7-3/4")  bound  in  contemporary  half  sprinkled  calf  with
matching    corners  and  boards,   deckled  edges,  and   contrasting
gilt-lettered  morocco  spine labels. The first 43 (of 44) volumes  of
this  scarce  German  newspaper on medicine and surgery,  each  volume
containing  20  or  so issues with four volumes per  year.  The  first
volume  of 1800 is lacking. Each issue features a decorative masthead.
A  very scarce compilation, not located in OCLC. Small German  library
stamp  on each pastedown and the small decorative stamp of N.  Schmidt
on  each title page. Contents very fresh; bindings generally very nice
with  minor rubbing. One volume with slight chipping to head of  spine
and  the  beginning  of  a split. Near Fine, handsome  set  and  quite
scarce in such a long run.                                    $2500.00
