Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of Tasso (some foxing), a facsimile of his 
handwriting, and 22 engraved vignettes. Edition limited to 250 sets. Finely bound 
in 1/2 dark brown morocco, gilt decorated spines, over marbled boards. T.e.g. 
(ca. 1900). This copy has 2 added plates: a portrait of the Duchess of Bedford 
(some foxing), and a fine hand-colored view of Woburn Abbey.     $400.00

This is the first edition of a new translation, by Wiffen. The life of Tasso 
(116pp.) is an important addition.   A very attractive set.
