Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1897. First printing, Original cloth, 
Octavos, xxviii, 454 & xx, 427 pages, black & white plates, maps, battle 
plans. Near Fine.
      The foremost biography of the man who in himself summed up and 
personified the Great Britain's Royal Navy. Contains several illustrations, 
battle plans, double tissue-guarded portraits, and maps--some of which are 
fold outs. HATTENDORF #A6a. Bound in dark blue cloth over     boards with 
gilt spine titles and gilt stamped bust of Nelson on upper     boards, black 
endpapers, top edges gilt. Front endpaper in volume I is cracked the length 
of inner margin, front endpaper in volume II is cracked about 4" along lower 
half of inner margin, but hinges in both volumes remain strong. Both volumes 
have mild extremity wear, including bumps to lower fore corners of both 
boards, some surface rubs, etc. Clean and bright overall.
