New York: Jonathan David, Publishers, (1962). First printing, Full cloth, 
Octavo, 75 pages, Frontispiece facsimile letter. Very good in a good, price 
clipped dust jacket, Jacket in Mylar protector.
      Rabbi Rubinger explores several interesting and often little known 
couplings of Abraham Lincoln and the emerging American Jewish community of 
the mid-nineteenth century. A 1984 newspaper clipping on the subject of 
Lincoln and the Jews is laid in. Bound in black cloth over boards with upper 
board titled in gilt. Minor extremity rubs, a few faint spots to exterior 
cloth. Prior owner presentation bookplate from Rabbi Rubinger's synagogue on 
front pastedown. Jacket has a few short edge tears, rubs, and shallow chips. 
A few light dampstains to underside of jacket.
