First  Edition.  Quarto (8-1/2" x 11-1/2") bound in  full  publisher's
morocco  with  heavy gilt decoration and all edges  gilt.  Illustrated
with  2  maps (one folding and colored), a pictorial title  page,  and
over    100  steel-engravings,  tinted   lithographs,  and   woodcuts,
including  32  printed  in color with some hand finishing.  The  color
plates  all  have  tissue  guards and are clean.  Occasional  spot  of
foxing  here  and  there, but a very clean copy of  a  handsome  book.
