J.C.F.  &  J.  Rivington 1840. First Edition. Small  octavo  (4-1/4" x
6-3/4")  bound in contemporary full brown pebbled morocco. This  early
work  by the author of APOLOGIA PRO VITA SUA and an early proponent of
the  Oxford  Movement  was  published without  identification  of  its
author  on  the  title page. Slight aging of text; joints  rubbed  but
covers  firm,  tape  shadows  at  head and  heel  of  spine.  Armorial
bookplate,  apparently  of  a cardinal, on the front  pastedown.  Very
Good and uncommon.                                             $750.00
