Published in Springfield, Massachusetts, by the George Walter Vincent
Smith Art Gallery: 1941.

Frederic Fairchild Sherman (1874-1940) was a poet, a passionate art
collector, a writer, the publisher of a pioneering series of monographs on
American artists, and the editor-publisher of 'Art in America' magazine.
This memorial exhibition of paintings from his collection, including work
by his favorite artist, Albert Pinkham Ryder, contains text from both his
own publications and his private notes. Scarce.

Softcover. 8”x11”, 24 pages, plus 30 b/w illustrations on 25 plates. Text
printed on deckle-edged paper. Some spotting on several plates (see photo
below), light wear, but in clean, good condition. $125.00

courtesies to institutions and the trade; Postage charges are $5.00 for

U.S. will be billed at cost. We accept returns if we are notified within

terms. Massachusetts residents must add 5% state sales tax.
