“Most books on Tibetan art are devoted largely to iconography, but in this
volume the author has written a history of the various styles of thankas
that prevailed in Tibet between the eleventh and nineteenth centuries
[with] particular emphasis on the earlier styles which flourished between
the eleventh and fifteenth centuries.” Includes illustrations of a large
number of thankas which had not been published previously.

Hardcover.  9”x11”, 225 pages, 115 color plates and 12 black & white
illustrations, dust jacket. Jacket just a bit rubbed, light soil on the
rear endpaper, otherwise in nice, clean, tight condition. $85.00
