Modern Age Books, Inc. (1938). First Edition. Illustrated with thirty
photographs and a folding map. Foreword by Harry Hopkins. This is
ELEANOR ROOSEVELT'S COPY with both Roosevelt's bookplate and the
small circular estate label, this numbered 992, on the front
pastedown. On the front endpaper is the ink-stamped statement "From
The Collection of/Eleanor Roosevelt/John A. Roosevelt" SIGNED by John
A. Roosevelt. It was Eleanor Roosevelt's husband, of course, who
established the WPA by executive order. Near Fine, lacking the
dustwrapper. $250.00
