DOS  PASSOS,  John. ONE MAN'S  INITIATION---1917.  London:  George
Allen  &  Unwin,  Ltd. (1920). First Edition. "A  vivid  impressionist
picture  of  what 'one man' saw and felt in the War." First  state  of
the  author's  first  book SIGNED and INSCRIBED by him  on  the  front
endpaper  to  a  famous early twentieth century collector:  "To  Henry
Tatnall  Brown Jr./kindly/John Dos Passos." Of both issues, there were
a total of 1,250 sets of sheets with 750 sets for this edition and the
remaining  500 sets shipped to Doran for the U.S. edition. In addition
to  being  SIGNED, this copy has an AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED  (ALS)  by
the  author to Brown offering to sign books tipped to the front blank.
A  lovely  copy  in a green cloth clamshell box with  a  gilt-lettered
black  morocco  spine  label. Near Fine in a  Near  Fine  dustwrapper,
housed in a clamshell box.                                    $2500.00
